Enjoy a classic, southern wedding at Juliette Plantation in Louisiana. This one helped me tick an item off my photographer’s bucket list!
Chad, Jen and their sweet daughter Zoe were our neighbors in Tyler. We love them dearly and it was so hard to say goodbye to them! I wish I could have picked their house up and moved it with us! This is the third year in a row I’ve been able to shoot Zoe’s birthday pictures. Jen always picks a super cute theme, and this year is no doubt my favorite! Can’t wait to see what we’re doing next year!
Holy jeez, I want to live at Lauren and Seth’s wedding! The colors, the textures, the sparkles…everything was so, so pretty! This is just a sneak peek, which means I’m only giving you a very little taste of the awesome right now, but it will be worth checking back for the rest later <3
When I moved away from home I never really believed I’d never come back, or at least eventually live close enough to visit often. But, 15 years later 1500 miles still lay between me and my hometown and that means I miss so, so many important things. Being a wedding photographer compounds the problem. My life plans out a year in advance. Between the miles and the weddings, the sad fact is I miss most of my own personal “big days”. You cannot imagine what a loss that is to someone who lives for holidays and special moments, but most often finds herself documenting them for other people. So, when one of my best friends in the whole world called to tell me her daughter was getting married and I was not only free to shoot it but it meant I could be home for my mom’s birthday my heart literally did flips! I almost didn’t care that it meant boarding a plane, which completely terrifies me :)
Enjoy this little sneak peek of Faith, who was my own flower girl once upon a time, and Michael’s sweet backyard wedding. And then, if you have family close by, make plans to spend a little time with them just because you can…
