Ahhh, Susan’s bridal! Petals, crystals, glitter, candles….I had so much fun getting ready for this shoot! Thank you again Barbara and Pam at La Tee Da for supplying the petals and crystal curtains! Thank you Susan for supplying the ah-mazing! I hope that right now you and Brad are enjoying doing absolutely nothing on a fabulous beach, just as planned!

Yesterday I got an unexpected knock on the door….which always strikes fear directly into my heart. I work from home, which means if I’m not scheduled somewhere that day I’m definitely not wearing any make-up and my “business attire” is going to be questionable! But it was totally worth it to open my door and find a smiling Tom from La Tee Da standing on my porch with this little piece of heaven! Chock full of my favorites…hydrangea, peony and David Austin roses, they are the very most me-ish flowers I’ve ever received. What a wonderful husband I have! Not only does he send flowers and stop by in person to write the card…but he knows to ask for my favorite rose by name! Thank you Jim and La Tee Da for a sweet surprise! And thank you Tom for telling me my hair looked okay

Kalynne & Allen’s Preview | Vintage Stone Oak Ranch Wedding

Nope, you’re not confused…this wedding was also at Stone Oak Ranch in Murchison! In fact, Kalynne and Laura (from my previous post) actually grew up together and were at each others weddings. Allen is a fellow wedding photog and you can imagine the flip flops my stomach did when I showed up and people started saying things like “we wondered what photographer the photographer would hire” but it only took a minute for the nerves to subside and the joy to set in. I really do love my job and I felt lucky to be there photographing friends and enjoying one of the coldest, most delicious Cokes I’ve ever had. I also met a guy who can unhinge his jaw…but that’s a story for a different day

I couldn’t blog Laura and Dee’s wedding sneak peek without sharing a few images from their engagement session first! So today you get to move from engagement to wedding as quickly as most grooms wish it would actually happen! Yes, yes…I’m sure there is a groom out there who enjoys wedding planning and spending hours hot gluing stuff to mason jars. I’ve just yet to encounter him, or at least have him say so out loud, haha!!! Enjoy <3

Kalynne & Allen | Tyler Texas Engagement Session

It’s always an honor when someone invites you to document their wedding day! It’s especially humbling when the “someone” is a friend and peer! Allen Arrick, a talented local photographer, and his lovely fiance Kalynne are getting married today at Stone Oak Ranch in Murchison. I’m so excited for both of them! They are warm, kind, funny and absolutely in love! Shooting for another photographer, especially one in the same field, always makes me a little bit nervous, but Allen and Kalynne were guests at a wedding I shot two weeks ago, and after watching them together that night I’ve been nothing but excited! I know their wedding will be beautiful and focused on the most important element…the two people pledging their lives to one another. Congratulations A&K!
